Our Servants

Donald L. McCoy is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Abundant Heart Community Church.  Donald’s parents, Calvin and Clara McCoy, instilled in him at an early age a love for God.  His personal testimony is that at the age of 18, he would have dreams about being homeless and would break down crying whenever he would see the homeless.  He prayed asking God why and God shared with him you are homeless because you are my child and you are absent from my house.  He began to pray asking God what would you have me do?  God answered and he accepted His call to preach and teach the gospel in Feb 03.

Answering God’s call Donald with his wife Kim, Bishop Sylvester Hooks, Arlean Smith, John Bodnar, Nina Bodnar, and Richard Vega planted Abundant Heart Community Church.  A Gospel Centered, Multi-Generational and Diverse Church on 10 Dec 17.  Donald is a dynamic and gifted speaker who is passionate about serving God, the church, you and the youth.  His hope for Abundant Heart Community Church is to cultivate a community of servant leaders that impact and change their communities through unleashing the power of God in their lives.

Donald is married to the love of his life, Kim McCoy, together they have two children, Amaia and Elijah, and their dog, Rocky.  Donald holds a degree in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinios University Carbondale and a Masters of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma.  Donald retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant.

Donald believes that all things are possible with Desire, Determination,  Discipline and God.  Furthermore, he is thankful for the greatest promotion he will ever receive in his life and that is to be God’s servant and your servant.
