Our church is a loving and accepting place. As individuals we are called to love one another.
We believe that change is intentional and that transformation happens best in community.
The truth sets us free and empowers us to live our best life.
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. Our church should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally sound. Culture conforms to Biblical teaching.
We were created to do good works and our works are a reflection of our faith.
We are to acknowledge God in everything we do.
Our church is about building strong relationships with each other and our local community.

Our Beliefs

  1. We believe that God is the only true God and that all things are established through seeking His kingdom and righteousness.
  2. We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible word.
  3. We believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one.
  4. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died for our sins and that He rose from the dead.
  5. We believe that salvation is given through grace, faith and a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  6. We believe in the forgiveness of sin through confession and acceptance of God’s grace through Jesus Christ.
  7. We believe obedience to God’s will is required.
  8. We believe that we are to walk not according to the flesh, but live according to faith and the Spirit of God.
  9. We believe that we are to work out our soul salvation with fear and trembling with God leading us to accomplish His will.
  10. We believe that God is long suffering and desires that all mankind would be saved.
  11. We believe that all things should be done decently and in order. God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
  12. We believe that church should have an impact on the body of Christ and the communities it is a part of.

Our Vision

The vision of the Abundant Heart Community Church is to develop Godly leaders and followers that will establish the church as a culturally relevant power house without compromising sound doctrine or God’s infallible word.

Our Mission

The mission of the Abundant Heart Community Church is to transform people and communities through the preaching and teaching of God’s word.

Purpose

The purpose of the Abundant Heart Community Church is to lead people into a relationship with Jesus Christ empowering them through the Holy Spirit to live an abundant life for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Doctrine

The Abundant Heart Community Church practices the formal code of doctrine and discipline known as Systematic Theology.

Systematic Theology is a discipline which addresses theological topics one by one and attempts to summarize all the biblical teaching on each particular subject.  Sometimes called constructive theology or even dogmatic theology, the goal is to present the major themes and doctrines of the Christian faith in an organized and ordered overview that remains faithful to the biblical witness.

Systematic theology integrates biblical, historical and sometimes philosophical theology into its methodology.  Its main goal is to draw a clear description of what the Bible teaches about a particular doctrine. Furthermore, systematic theology not only looks to biblically construct individual doctrines of the Christian faith, but remains aware of the cause-effect relationship of each doctrine.  That is, on the one hand, if one doctrine is changed, effects will take place in other areas of doctrine.  On the other hand, each doctrine has implications for other doctrines.  In the end, systematic theology should naturally flow into practical theology where the conclusions drawn from Scripture are made applicable to the Church.

Our History

Psalm 127:1 “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”

Our servant, Donald L. McCoy, was trained by and served under Bishop Sylvester C. Hooks, the founder of The Great Commission Interdenominational Church.  It was under the discipleship of Bishop Hooks that he learned the true meaning of servant leadership and what it means to love God, His kingdom, His Church and His children.

On 26 Oct 17 Bishop Hooks released our servant from his commitment to The Great Commission Interdenominational Church.  Bishop Hooks stated God said it’s time to commission Donald to do the work I have for him.  Bishop Hooks shared with our servant Genesis 25: 22-27 stating God has called you to Pastor a church for Him.

From that moment our servant started praying, counting the cost, planning and preparing to accomplish what God had spoken over his life.  Through God’s grace and provision the Abundant Heart Community Church was established by God and founded by our servant.

The church is founded on St Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

We want to give God the glory and honor for establishing, growing, and sustaining His wonderful church.  God’s grace, provision, and power can be seen through how quickly the church was formed and established.
