Gina Alexander-Collins, Director of Outreach
Gina Alexander-Collins is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. She graduated from Western High School and went on to receive a Bachelor Degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Her love for public speaking, training and development inspired her to obtain a Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
Gina began her career working in the field of Human Services. She has worked for Clark County Juvenile Probation, Child Haven and the Child Welfare system. Gina has worked as a Mediation Specialist & Trainer, Family Service Specialist, Child Protective Service Investigator, Management Analyst, and Independent Living Supervisor. Gina has over 19.5 years of experience in social work. Currently, she is a Liaison for UNLV’s Social Work Department and the Family Service Supervisor at The Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center. Gina provides crisis intervention, counseling and support services for youth and families. She is also a trained mediator for dispute resolution and provides training in conflict resolution, team building, violence interruption, anger management and domestic violence.
Gina is known for her abilities to engage hard to reach youth and audiences using creative learning techniques. She is a well-known community leader who is valued for her passion for developing and facilitating curriculum, workshops, leaders, civic engagement and addressing social issues. Gina is an entrepreneur as well, running her own chocolate foundation business called “Gina’s Taste of Designs”.
Gina truly has a heart for people and invests heavily in making a difference in society and in the lives of children and families.
