Nina Hooks--Bodnar Director of Creative Arts

Nina Hooks-Bodnar, Creative Arts Director

Nina Hooks-Bodnar serves as the Creative Arts Director.   She loves God first and foremost!  She surrendered her life to Christ at a very early age.

Nina is a native Las Vegan.  After graduating from Western High School, she attended the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Vocal Performance.  Shortly after graduation she toured with a Musical Theatre company.  She toured over 162 cities and abroad, performing in the musical theatre production of “God’s Trying To Tell You Something” for a three-year run.  She worked with musicians such as Kenny Loggins, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Holiday and David Cassidy.

Nina later worked as a singer in numerous shows at The Bellagio, MGM, The Orleans and The Mirage before returning to school to earn a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). She has been teaching 3-year-old Pre-kindergarten students for 20 wonderful years.

Nina is married to Johnny Bodnar and they have a beautiful blended family. They have two sons, Brad Bodnar and Mai-Son McCurtis, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Nina wants you to know that teaching the little ones has had such a powerful impact on her life that she now aspires to create her own “Children’s Educational Television Show.”  Her prayer is that this will allow the two careers to mesh together.  She hopes to spiritually, and positively influence and affect the lives of Early Childhood students, parents and families all over this world!
